A 300 year old hotel in the heart of the Mendips, cradle of ancient Brittain Eight ensuite double rooms, first class food and drink, satellite Internet access and video conferencing. The hotel has recently moved back into private, local hands and a major refurbishment has been completed: The roof has been beautifully thatched by local craftsmen; new oak, slate and tile floors fitted throughout the hotel, new en suite bathrooms to all eight bedrooms, some with separate double showers; new furnishings and fixtures everywhere, sourced locally. All rooms have unlimited direct satellite Internet access at 256bps uplink and 1026bps download connection speeds We also have a conference room that can accommodate 28 people for private dining, seminars, meetings etc and a video conferencing suite. The chef prepares all his meals from fresh produce acquired, where possible, from local organic sources and the results are outstanding. Fine cask conditioned ales and quality wines at sensible prices complement the food.
