The Old Trout is full of surprises. The five hundred-year-old, higgledypiggledy building never fails to delight. Discover the intriguing architecture of this hotel; search for your room through narrow passages, past nooks and crannies. The buildings history is suitably idiosyncratic. Before its transformation into a restaurant, it was an antique shop and prior to that, a row of tiny cottages. Previously known as the Thatchers, the change of name to The Old Trout belies the owners sense of humour!
Guests may choose from a number of well appointed bedrooms. Despite a number of charming peculiarities one of the rooms is accessed through a door only three foot six inches high! the beds are very comfortable; four posters are available. A high standard of service is matched by excellent accommodation to ensure a good nights sleep and relaxing stay. | Old Trout
