In 1999 the doors to the very first myhotel opened in Bloomsbury. The boutique hotel offered 78 stylish guestrooms (all with air-conditioning, flat screen TVs, CD players and welcoming music, tea and coffee making facilities, bottled water, hairdryer, Aveda blends, a complimentary daily newspaper and magazines), mybar, the library, jinja – the dedicated treatment room, the energy zone and two event spaces – a unique concept that would be replicated whilst borrowing from the appeal of each new location through the coming years.
