Built as a Gentleman's residence in 1850 on the site of the original 13th century Cistercian Monastery. The hotel is set back in its own picturesque gardens with al fresco seating, yet remains in view of the A470 which is the principal route to Snowdonia, Conwy, Llandudno and surrounding areas. Llanrwst is just two miles south and Betws-y-Coed three miles beyond. The world famous Bodnant Gardens is four miles north.
