The splendour of an original Victorian hotel, injected with a strong spirit of modernity - an oasis of luxury in the heart of historic London. The Great Eastern a joint venture between Conran Holdings and Wyndham International re-opened its doors in February 2000 after a three-year refurbishment costing GBP 70 million. While reviving the splendour of the original Victorian hotel, the new design injects the building with a strong spirit of modernity.
Each of our rooms and suites is unique, but all of them are light and spacious, and easy on the eye. All rooms have a high standard of luxury and comfort, but there is nothing standard about the attention to detail in any of them; Frette linen sheets; pure wool carpets; giant antimacassars; Jacobson work lamp and Eames desk chair; two-line telephone, conference calling, fax, modem and ISDN lines; specially commissioned photography of the City; CD- and DVD-players are both standard, with libraries of discs available from Guest Relations; in room safe; air-conditioning; personal bar and 24 hour room service. | Andaz Hotel
