The 16th century George retains its original character combined with the comforts of careful modernisation. This is a traditional English Inn with oak beams and log fires. Traditional English cuisine is served, along with a Table D' Hotel evening menu, vegetarian options and a children's menu. Fish dishes are also on offer with a special seasonal 'catch of the day', from Rye Bay, Plaice and Scallops. Staying overnight is a pleasure, as you can relax in one of our en-suite bedrooms, which come fully equipped with all mod cons. One bedroom still houses original Elizabethan beams! In the evening you can wander down for a quiet drink and maybe enjoy a delicious meal from our extensive menu. Special occasions are often held here in the stunning Georgian Ballroom and with its original features it will make your night.
