Barclay House lies on the edge of Looe, an historic Cornish fishing village dating from the 12th century. Carved into the hillside overlooking the East Looe river this six acre property has breathtaking views over the water and countryside beyond, yet we are only 10 minutes walk from the town, harbour, beach and sea.
Originally built around 1890 as a Victorian family villa of uncompromising architecture, this wonderful 10 bedroom house has a spacious elegance and magnificent relaxed air about it. We are captivated daily by its fabulous position and the ever changing scenery.
Located on the ground floor of the house are the restaurant, lounge bar and sitting room complete with panoramic terrace overlooking the water (when the tide is in that is!) Drinks are served al fresco when possible. You may perhaps enjoy relaxing by the pool nestled in a suntrap or enjoy some peace in our gardens and woodland. | Barclay House
